Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country (over 160 nations qualify)
  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience
  • Apply for three different eligible master’s courses in the UK
  • Must not hold British citizenship or have previously studied in the UK with a UK government-funded scholarship

How to Apply

  1. Check Eligibility: Make sure you’re eligible to apply in return by meeting competing qualification. A good thing is that the returns from each country are still the same i.e. £13k per annum.
  2. Select Courses: Choose three eligible master’s programs in the UK.
  3. You must prepare Application Documents: write good essays and obtain all required documentation.
  4. Submit Online Application: Download application form from official Chevening website and complete it.
  5. Short call interviews can happen at the British Embassy or High commission.
  6. Successful applicants are sent their award and make preparations for studying in the UK.

Application Deadline

Chevening Scholarship application cycle has usually started in August and it closes in November yearly. The final decisions are announced by June, usually after the interviews, which take place between February and April.
